BUPA

The British United Provident Association, or BUPA, is one of the most recognizable names in the international health insurance industry today. First established in 1947 in the aftermath of the second world war, BUPA was associated with the goal of giving British citizens the choice of where and when they received their healthcare treatment; a tradition that has continued for over 60 years.

BUPA has long been known for its innovations in the health insurance industry, and the organization’s commitment to community health and fitness are heralded as playing a major role in the development of modern hygiene practices and better standards of healthy living throughout much of the United Kingdom.

One of the more remarkable facts about BUPA is that the company does not have any shareholders or investors. Any profits made by the company are used to improve the services that they offer and raise the standard of healthcare around the world. As a consequence of this, and due to the company’s heavy investment in international hospitals and medical facilities, BUPA has unparalleled knowledge of the health issues faced by their policyholders around the world, and is able to meet any challenges that arise in a way that no other insurance company can.

With offices in North America, Europe, and Asia, BUPA is in a position to react immediately to any issues presented by a policyholder. Even with over 7 million policyholders across the globe, BUPA is dedicated to giving each customer the level of attention, service, and professionalism that they deserve.

BUPA has an extensive international direct settlement network and is partnered with some of the world’s best healthcare facilities and hospitals. Working with medical professionals and policyholders, BUPA is one of the few insurance companies in the world which is actively assessing the quality of their products and, trying to provide innovative services to constantly meet the next generation of health insurance challenges.
