Worldwide Health Options

Premiums

International health insurance plans offered by Worldwide Health Options will calculate a plan premium based solely on the age of a policyholder and the policy's geographic area of coverage. Unlike locally, or country based, health insurance plans, your premium will only increase because of your age or where you live, and never because of the claims that you make.

This is known as a "community rating" and means that the premium you pay will be exactly the same as that of an individual of the same age, living in the same country. As a consequence, this gives you the security to receive medical treatment safe in the knowledge that your premium will never go up because of your claims history.

There are a number of payment options for international health insurance premiums. As a policyholder you are often able to choose which currency you pay in (USD, GBP, EUR, RMB), and the method of your payment; whether it be cash, credit card, cheque, or bank transfer.

Some plans will even allow you to choose the frequency of your payments and will give you the option of paying monthly, quarterly, semi-annually, or annually. It is important to note, however, that if you choose to spread the cost of a policy over a year, then you may incur a surcharge of up to 7% on your premium.

Worldwide Health Options can help you to find the payment option that best meets your current financial situation, giving you the freedom to fully enjoy life as an international citizen. For more information please contact one of our expert advisors today.
